MT EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK FOR POLICE 2019
Queensland Police Legacy is offering participants the opportunity of a lifetime to tackle the iconic Mount Everest Base Camp and trek to the roof of the world as part of a like minded team whilst also supporting Queensland Police Legacy families. Along a route dubbed by some as "the steps to heaven," every bend on the trail to Mount Everest Base Camp provides another beautiful forest, Sherpa village and glacial moraine. You will spend 18 days from the 23rd April 2019 to 11th May 2019 starting and finishing in Brisbane and travelling via Kathmandu, Lukla and Everest Base Camp at an altitude of 5320 metres all the time hosted by an experienced, qualified support team from Earthtrails Expeditions who will bring you close to local cultures along the way. Earthtrails Expeditions are donating $500.00 per participant to Queensland Police Legacy and are challenging each participant to raise another $500.00 in support of Queensland Police Legacy families.

The Queensland Police Legacy Scheme
The Queensland Police Legacy Scheme (Queensland Police Legacy) was established in 1971 and assists the eligible dependent families of deceased Queensland Police Officers, Queensland Police Officers whose spouse or partner has died and Queensland Police families with a parent suffering from a terminal illness. The primary focus of this assistance has always been to provide the financial resources to ensure that the dependent children of those families receive the education their parents intended for them, that they deserve and that they may have been deprived of due to circumstance. Queensland Police Legacy holds Australian Taxation Office Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status so all donations of $2 and over are tax deductible.
