MT EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK FOR POLICE 2019
I hope I can help contribute to the Queensland Police Legacy Scheme, a cause close to my heart as a serving police officer with young children.
Queensland Police Legacy currently support 52 Queensland Police families and meet the educational expenses of 80 legatee children. These are children who have lost a parent whilst they were performing duty as a Queensland Police Officer, or passed due to terminal illness.
Earthtrails Expeditions are donating $500.00 per participant to Queensland Police Legacy and are challenging each participant to raise another $500.00 in support of Queensland Police Legacy families.

The Queensland Police Legacy Scheme
The Queensland Police Legacy Scheme (Queensland Police Legacy) was established in 1971 and assists the eligible dependent families of deceased Queensland Police Officers, Queensland Police Officers whose spouse or partner has died and Queensland Police families with a parent suffering from a terminal illness. The primary focus of this assistance has always been to provide the financial resources to ensure that the dependent children of those families receive the education their parents intended for them, that they deserve and that they may have been deprived of due to circumstance. Queensland Police Legacy holds Australian Taxation Office Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status so all donations of $2 and over are tax deductible.
